Gobi Karaari / Cabbage Subzi – Help, Wanted In The Kitchen!!!

Gobi Karaari / Cabbage Subzi – Help, Wanted In The Kitchen!!!

Muttai Koss Masala Varuval:

Sometimes, I involve AK into my cooking. Hmmm, just for a change and some help in the kitchen. However, the each time he offers me to cook…I would be scared to see the generous portions of oil going into my dish, pretty mad to take care of those large skillets in the sink and it would be superbly annoying to hand over the knife, salt, onions, water…Duh? do you really live here?

Anyhoo, the point is ‘I will be never getting my break’!!! I need raise, increment, bonus, extra-insurance, a helicopter and tickets to Hawai…..whoa, whoa…let me gather myself, I was on the flow…

Despite all this micro-shortcomings…the resultant dish would be ultimately comforting. And the addition of new recipe to my scrapbook is an added bonus:):)

Ingredients:

Cabbage 1 small head – roughly chopped
Green chilies 2-3 sliced
Onion 1 large sliced
Ginger 1″ grated
Salt
Turmeric 1/4 spoon
Chili powder 1 spoon
Garam masala 1 pinch
Cilantro seeds 1 pinch
Cumin seeds 1 pinch
Cilantro leaves to garnsih
Olive oil 1 table spoon.

Method:

In a wide skillet, heat oil. Add cilantro and cumin seeds. Followed by chilies and onions. Fry real good.

Add cabbage, and salt. Cover and cook for 2 minutes. Then add all the powdered spices and cilantro leaves, stir-fry over high heat, until oil shows up on the sides.

Serve steaming hot with plain rice or rotis. Enjoy:)
