Hearty Whey Lemonade – Post-Workout Drink!

Its not that…I ran out of recipes or anything. I really wanted to share this simple recipe with you all. After done with curdling the milk for either it be for rasgollah or paneer, I don’t feel like wasting the whey! Why would I…come on…the liquid milk serum is full of goodness, lots of albumin and globulin proteins are still present in it. In fact milk serum or whey is often sold as a nutritional supplement in many health care industries. Its quite popular among body builders. Its one of best post-work drink for me. It helps the aching muscles to relax and tone.

Culinary Use

1. I use them in preparing the dough for flat breads like chappathi or roti. It enriches the food.

2. It could be taken as a warm beverage with a spoonful of sugar. Very fulfilling drink to kick start your day.

3. Hearty Lemonade: Ever heard of one?! Yes it is…full of nutrition.

Method: Add a table spoon of lemon juice to every 2-3 cups of whey and add enough sugar to taste. Chill the same and serve in a tall glass. Enjoy:)
