Hot and Sour Chinese Soup – Hearty Preparation!

Hot and Sour Chinese Soup – Hearty Preparation!

Mixed Veggies, Chicken and Tofu Soup:

To be really honest…I didn’t aim for this kind of soup:( What I was hoping for is that signature-trade mark, Indianized ‘Hot and Sour Soup’ that we get in restaurants, back home! I am big fan of Indo-Chinese concoctions, they are simply out of this world…with just 4-5 basic Chinese ingredients, they whip endless variations!!! It looks like, sometimes I miss home…coz’ of that special food!! Anyhow…I tried to recreate the same, today. Hmmm, wasn’t very successful…but am positive, that I will perfect it in near future. Till then, enjoy this real Chinese flavor:)

Ingredients:

Jalapenos
Tofu
Mushrooms
Chicken
Carrots
Cabbage
Egg
Ginger 4 inches
Green onions
Vinegar
Hot sauce
Soy sauce
Oil few spoons.

Method:

Chop all the veggies into length wise strips, as shown in the picture.

Prepare a strong chicken broth. And chop down the chicken into strips as well, discard the bones.

Now, in this broth…add vinegar, hot and soy sauce. Prepare a thin soup.

Further, stir-in vegetables and eggs. Bring this to hearty concoction. Add pepper powder if needed.

Serve warm.
