Arisi Adai:
Verum Arisi Adai.
Ingredients:
Rice 1 cup
Salt
Green chilies 3 finely chopped
Curry leaves chopped
Onion 1 finely chopped
Cha dal 2-4 spoons
Urad dal 2-4 spoons
Mustard seeds 1/2 spoon
Asafoetida 1/4 spoon
Oil 1/2 cup.
Method:
Soak rice for about 2-4 hours and wet-grind them coarsely. Use less water for grinding. It should be like dough.
In a seperate pan, heat oil. Add mustard, chana, urad dal, chilies, curry leaves and onion. Fry real good.
Now mix this seasonning to the dough. Add salt as well.
Heat a griddle. Smear oil to it. On a inverted round bottomed vessel….place a wet-clean cheese cloth. Now place a scoop of dough over it. Flatten them with wet-hands.
Remove carefully from cloth and place on the griddle. Toast them on both the sides. Maintain the stove over medium heat. Run spoonful of oil on the sides.
When they are crisp and golden color….remove from heat. Repeat the same for remaining dough.
Serve warm as a breakfast or evenning tiffin.
