Avaraikai Poriyal:
Pattai Avaraikkai Poriyal. Extra Broad Beans Poriyal/Subzi (its really broad than regular broad beans). Indian Broad Beans/ Chikkudu kaya Koora.
Ingredients:
Broad Beans 1/4 kilo
Garlic 6 cloves crushed
Onion 1 sliced
Tomato sliced
Salt
Turmeric 1/4 spoon
Chili powder 1/2 spoon
Coriander powder 1/2 spoon
Mustard seeds 1/4 spoon
Cumin seeds 1/4 spoon
Curry leaves few
Chan adal 1 spoon
Urad dal 1 spoon
OIl few spoons.
Method:
Wash and pat dry the veggies. Remove the stalk and strings carefully. Slice and set aside.
In a wok, heat oil. Add mustards, cumin and curry leaves. Let them pop and splutter well.
Add chana and urad dal too, bring this to reddish color.
Now add garlic,onion and toamtoes. Saute them real good.
Further add salt, turemric and chili powders too.
Add sliced veggies, cover and cook over medium heat.
When the veggies are done, without leaving any water, remove from heat.
