Chili Gobi / Cauliflower 65

Chili Gobi Also Known As  Chili Gobi. Cauliflower pakora. Gobi Fry. Gobi Pakora.

Not every recipe you blog has to be your favorite! But, can’t go without making it. Never been a fan but kind of end up making it, now and then. Does that make sense? It’s one of kind – Chili Gobi, although…I won’t be craving for any substitute for chicken 65, I make these on a regular basis.

Ingredients

  • 1 large Cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 egg whites
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • Corn flour 4-6 spoons
  • Ginger 1″ minced
  • Garlic 2 beads, minced
  • Red chili powder 1 spoon
  • 1 tsp Garam masala powder
  • Red color (optional)
  • Salt
  • Oil for frying

Method

  1. Cut cauliflower into tiny florets. Leave them in warm water for few minutes. Then remove the florets and pat dry them
  2. Combine all the above said ingredients except cauliflower. Rub this paste to cauliflower and set aside for 2 hours.
  3. Now heat oil in a frying pan. Surface fry them in hot oil till crisp. Fry just few at a time. Repeat the same for remaining batch. Leave them over kitchen tissues for a while.
  4. Serve warm as a side dish or snack.
