Chow Chow Coconut Poriyal:Choyote Poriyal.
Ingredients:
Chow Chow 2 chopped to bite size bits
Coconut grated 1/4 cup
Salt
Green chilies 2 finely chopped
Chana dal 1 spoon
Urad dal 1 spoon
Cumin 1/4 spoon
Mustard seeds 1/4 spoon
Curry leaves few
Oil few spoons.
Method:
In a wok, heat oil. Add all the tempering spices and chilies to it. Wait till they pop up.
Then toss your veggies. Salt it, cover it. Cook over medium for 2-4 minutes without adding any water.
When the veggies is done soft, add coconut and cook over high heat without lid for 2 minutes.
Done! Serve warm as a side dish for South Indian Meals.
