Garlic Pickle:
Poondu Oorughai.
Ingredients:
Garlic 2-3 whole heads
Salt
Turmeric powder 1/2 spoon
Chili powder 1 spoons
Vinegar few spoons
Mustard seeds 1/2 spoon
Sesame oil few spoons.
To be Toasted & Powdered:
Coriander seeds 4 spoons
Fenugreek seeds 4 spoons
Mustard seeds 4 spoons
Asafoetida 1 spoon
Method:
Heat few spoons of oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and wait till it pops.
Then add garlic pearls to it. Followed by salt, turmeric, chili and pickle powders.
Add vinegar and cook over medium heat. Maybe till the pearls are cooked and not so tender.
Transfer the pickle to ceramic jars.
