Its summer in India, right now. As I was chatting with my folks…I asked whats going on and how they are combating the heat! My uncle shared a picture of Ice Apple (nungu) with me, instantly. One of the seasonal fruit of the time!

My curious little one, always…snoops around my chat history! She got really thrilled to check this out – weird picture of palm fruit!

Then, with the help of Google and Wikipedia, I explained our Nungu to her in a best possible way.

I think I did a good job. Because, right after this session…she ran to the freezer and grabbed a handful of ice cubes and she said: “I’ll pretend that this is my Ice Apple until you show me the real one.”
