My blog has been hijacked! Yes. My blog has been hijacked by a little monster!
Remote-learning/Summer – little Tara is gets messy in the kitchen. I let her have fun with these easy projects. With a little ingredient-gathering and mild supervision, soon she is learning to cook.
I do little persuasion to involve her into my cooking ideas. By giving too-much of hype to a substandard recipe or a negative challenge. Like for an example I either say…there is greater dish than this humble dosa with a dollop of butter, it could heal anyone’s soul (a substandard dish is hyped) and no child could eat a bitter melon, even if its bitterness is masked heavily(so, now she wants to take that challenge)! How about that.
How To Involve Your Kid in Cooking:
- First things first, this is the moment you need to practice Zen; do not stress over the flour spills…”me, me, me” or “I know, I got it” kind of screams!
- Just relax, take a deep breath; let the
monsterkid play. - Give them enough space to explore, sometimes…they could even surprise us with their new hacks!
- Ensure, that they wash their hands thoroughly.
- Do not let them handle knives, scissors or fire!
- I learnt something new yesterday: playing with dough is much more fun than eating chappathis.
- Enjoy the moment.
