Swapna from www.tiffinroom.blogspot.com has copied and duplicated my friend Usha Nandini’s picture, www.ushanandini.blogspot.com.
Swapna has portrayed the picture, to appear has hers! Very talented to copyright the stolen picture! Aaah, what to say, wish she uses the same energy in cooking for herself or doing something productive than stealing!
I know all my blogger friends and readers…will identify and appreciate only the original work! Since all we guys stood up together, when I got plagiarised…I confidently promised Usha to support her, during this time.
Please, leave comforting message to Usha and also politely ask Swapna to remove the picture. Hope we can do this!!
To compare the picture, please take a look here:

The worst part is…she has even sent this recipe plus picture to two events! Wish even the host site understands this and removes the picture, at the earliest!

Some people can be so shameless, can’t believe she even sent the photo to few events as well. Event hosts should know about this and remove the photo. May be she didn’t realize that it’s somebody else’s photo, hopefully she will remove it quickly.
Good work Malar,we must help Usha by politely asking swapna to remove the copied images.I’m highly suspicious most of the images in the blog look copied.
Well said Asha, Whatever event is that, the host should remove the content immediately.
Yes Yasmeen, since this has happend among our own group, this feels terrible. I too felt that Yasmeen, some of her pictures like ‘Kuzhi Paniyaram’ looks very familiar to me. Espicially the rectangle shaped pictures…creates some suspicion!
This is the easy way for some lazy people to show-off i believe! Too bad! Will surely leave a message to her asking to remove that picture and others, if any! Thanks malar for making us know about this. I never know this Usha before.. Just left a message to her.
Thats a honest offer Malar..afterall,we all are here to share what we have in real..I would like to support the sincerity you have shown and request swapna to keep away from what she has done..
Will be visiting usha too
three cheers Malar !!
Thanks da Anu, the sad part is Usha didnt water mark her picture…but swapna wrote her blog name over the stolen pictures, the only proof for now is…Usha posted it much earlier.
Thank you Ann, I appreciate your support very much. It really means so much. We need to recognise the hard work, right. Usha felt bad…that she took all her credit, that really hurts! Being a food blogger…we can understand that.
Very sad to hear that people steal our original work and display as theirs. You have a good job Malar by supporting Usha. I give all my support to her.
Each month someone has been a victim. She has done cropping well even copying! Seems all her pictures are cropped too.
She should remove before everyone explose!
that’s so terrible..i don’t know y someone start a blog if they don’t want to make any effort..will leave msg for both of them
This seems to happen so frequently..one of my blogger friend was a victim as well..when a restaurant itself lifted pics from her blog..!!
Shocked to see the pictures in Swapna’s blog. Thats not fair, hope she will remove it soon. Good job done Malar. U are so gentle and supportive. Me too sent a note to swapna. Thanks everyone for supporting Usha.
Wow Malar I am impressed by your effort…came here for the first time through a friend who told abt this shameless incident…keep the good work going
Hi Malar,
I updated my blog. There are also a few more people who are victims like me. I have the links in my website.
Malar, it is really sad and shocking. i checked swapna’s blog and 2,3 pics (especially the soup ones) look so familiar, but i can’t recall the original owner of the recipes. but, i’m sure i have seen it elsewhere
Just checked out swapna’s blog and very shocked to see that cropped picture.
Thanks for letting us know..Good work,Malar.
Hi Malar,
compared both the pictures; it has been cropped and renamed effectively; I don’t understand these people who come to blog with nothing of their own just copying and blogging is so cheap and an inadmissible attitude! Thought bloggers were serious people who have some passion and love for what they do! it’s a pity!
good going malar…….kudos to you….i don’t understand this as i am new to this……how did it come to light ??
i dunno how to protect ourselves from this……
I thank you very much Malar, for your great support for me. She removed that thattai post. All of his/her posts is full of stolen pictures. Again thank you very much. Have a great weekend.
Lol she removed the first post where everyone commented.
Great Work Malar!
It seems she had removed her blog now.
Good work Malar..Ya, I think she has removed her blog.
Hai Malar
Good thing I came to ur blog.. Swapna has sent this to MBP event. Th link wasnt working.. I was just wondering what happenend to the blog…Now i understand the true story..I will remove from my roundup..
Good work malar..
I got a shock when I saw my name coz I am totally against copying except to jot down recipes in my recipe book. Then I understood it is another Swapna that you referred.
When i write the name of the person or cookery blog in the diary when I take a recipe to my notebook. T
