Potato – Pepper Roast


Aloo Kali Mirch Roast:Potatoes with Hand Pounded Peppercorns.

Ingredients:

Potatoes 2 large(boiled, skinned & cubed)
Salt
Garlic 6-9 cloves minced
Turmeirc powder 1/4 spoon
Chili powder 1/2 spoon
Whole peppercorns 1 spoon(hand pounded)
Whole peppercorns 1 spoon – toasted & powdered
Curry leaves few
Mustard seeds 1/4 spoon
Cumin seeds 1/4 spoon
Asafoetida 1 pinch
Oil few spoons
Cilantro leaves few to garnish.

Method:

In a wide skillet, heat oil. Add mustard, cumin, asafoetida and curry leaves. Let them crackle well.

Then add potatoes and fry for a while. Maybe till the outer edges are crispy and golden.

Now toss salt, turmeric, chili and pepper powders. Saute for few minutes. Mayeb till they coat really wella nd fragrant!

Garnish with cilantro leaves.
