On the other day, I was counting all my drawbacks…and ended up making a pretty big list:( Well, am not ashamed that I was never good with machines and numbers! So, its in the top most layer!
But, its really funny when people assume that I must be good in cooking!! Ooops, maybe this food blog is misleading them! There is an official confession from me today…I never-ever baked anything to perfection so far. Hmmm, not even the ready-made cookies and cakes:( Besides, I hate measurements!! If the recipe calls for exact ingredients and exact measurements, boy I am doomed!!!
Ingredients:
Rice batter 1 and 1/2 cups
Jaggery 3/4 of a cup
Ginger powder 1 pinch
Cardamom 3 crushed
Coconut grated few spoons
Ripe bananas 1-2 mashed
Ghee few spoons.
Method:
Mix all the above mentioned ingredients together, except ghee. Prepare a runny consistency batter.
Now, smear the ‘Appam Griddle’ with ghee. Heat the griddle over medium heat.
Pour enough batter into the molds and cook over medium heat, when one side is done till golden brown, gently turn it over to the other side and continue cooking.
Serve warm as an evening snack, its a fulfilling meal by itself:)
