Chicken Tikka

Also Known As: Restaurant style chicken tikka, kozhi sukka, grilled chicken bites.
Ingredients:

  • Chicken Breast – cubed
  • Salt
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Kashmiri Chili Powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
  • Amchoor powder 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
  • Chat masala powder 1/4 tsp
  • Ginger 2″, paste
  • Garlic 2-3 cloves, paste
  • Lemon juice few tsp
  • Yogurts 1/2 cup
  • Oil few spoons

Method:

  1. In a wide bowl…bring all the above mentioned ingredients (chicken too) & mix well.
  2. Let this marinade stay in the refrigerator for about 2-4 hours.
  3. Grill in a tandoor oven. If you don’t have a char coal grill…bake the chicken first and then broil them in conventional oven.
  4. Smear a spoonful of oil in the foil, spread these marinated chicken pieces. Bake for about 20-30 minutes over 350 degrees.
  5. Once this part is over…broil these over high range & also placing them at top most rack!
  6. Serve warm as a starter. Sprinkle toasted asafoetida on top as garnish, enjoy!
