Aadi Perukku Pandigai / Festival Food

Aadi Perukku Pandigai (Festival) is a monsoon festival.  This Tamil festival is celebrated on the 18th day of the Tamil month of Aadi (mid-July to mid-August). The festival pays tribute to Water-Goddess as a life-sustaining force. For its bountiful supply of resources! And, also the blessing of mankind with peace, prosperity and happiness. A form of nature worship with fresh food is organized  throughout this month to the local deities.
