Ingredients

  • Carrot – 4, grated
  • Coconut 3-4″ -  grated
  • Coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • Green chilies 2 – finely chopped
  • Onion 1 small – finely chopped
  • Yogurts – 3 cups
  • Salt
  • Mustard seeds 1/4 spoon
  • Cumin seeds 1/4 spoon
  • Asafoetida 1/4 spoon
  • Urad dal 1/4 spoon
  • Curry leaves few
  • Sesame oil few spoons

Method

Bring carrot, coconut, onion, chilies and coriander leaves in a wide bowl. Further add salt and yogurts to this. Mix well.

In a small pan, heat oil. Add mustard seeds and wait till they pop. Then add cumin, urad dal, asafoetida and curry leaves to it. Now run the above seasoning over carrot-yogurts bowl. Gently mix again. Refrigerate this at least for two hours before serving.
