Keerai Vadai:(Version 2)
Ingredients:
Spinach fresh/frozen 1 cup
Green chili 2 chopped
Onion 1 small chopped
Coconut grated 2 spoons
Asafoetida 1 pinch
Urad dal 1 cup
Rice 1 fistful
Salt
Soda 1 pinch
Peppercorns 1/2 spoon
Cumin 1/4 spoon
Oil for deep frying.
Method:
Soak urad dal and rice for about 2-4 hours. Then wet-grind it to thick batter. The batter should be like a butter.
Now slip all the above mentioned ingredients into this batter(except oil). Mix well.
Heat oil, make small fritters and shallow fry them till golden color and crispy.
Serve warma s a snack with tomato chutney.
