Mattar Fry / Green Peas Fry – Just Like That!

Mattar Tawa Fry

I am not exactly pouring my heart into cooking these days, and blogging certainly took the back seat as well! Little bit tied up with my new found activities n day to day business. So, now a days…I just rush home in the evening…take the available ingredients and let the magic begin! Looks like I can’t cook without my wok. Whatever that comes handy…I throw it on the wok and stir-fry over high. And much to my delight, they always turn fabulous. I don’t know…how to thank myself for those time-saving treats:)

Ingredients:

Green peas – fresh/frozen 1 large bowl full
Ginger 1″ minced
Garlic 2 cloves minced
Sugar 1/4 spoon
Salt
Turmeric 1/4 spoon
Chili powder 1 spoon
Garam masala 1/4 spoon
Coriander seeds 1/4 spoon
Cumin seeds 1/4 spoon
Oil few spoons.

Method:

In a wide wok, heat oil. Add the whole spices and followed by ginger n garlic. Wait till fragrant.

Now add the green peas and powdered spices to it. Cover and cook briefly. Once they are tender, remove the lid and stir-fry over high until aromatic.

Serve warm to go with your rotis or rice.
