Egg Idly:
We used to have Egg Dosa in Anna University canteen for break fast. My friend Sugumar used to ask…why its always Mutta-Dosai and not Mutta-Idly. As he is a big fan of eggs…..he eats them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He utters that whenever he is bored of dosai.All the sudden I thought….yeah why not!!! Although I never eaten or heard about it…felt like trying them myself. Wow…..it turned out great. But only my idly cooker went very smelly after that. Anyways….idly was great,that should be noted! So here it goes. And ‘Hey Thanks Sugu for the inspiration’!
Ingredients:
Idly batter
Eggs 2-3
Sesmae oil for smearing
Method:
Smear oil in the idly laddles. Fill half the laddle with batter and remaining half with eggs. Never attempt to mix them.
Steam cook for 10-12 minutes.
Scoop them with wet-spoon.
Serve to go with spicy chutney.
