My taste-buds opened up, when I was studying at Hyderabad! Seriously, the hot and tangy delights did the magic! This particular recipe is from my then, landlord. The good old couple, who were gracious enough to accept me as their paying guest. And both of them treated me as their own granddaughter for nearly three years…until I moved:) Auntie kept cooking all the time and kept herself busy…while uncle was so glued to the easy-chair and TV (24/7). One fine day…when Auntie took a vacation to meet her daughters. That’s when, I witnessed his culinary abilities…he prepared this hearty breakfast for me. Boy, that was incredible…what a lovely idea to make an extra-spicy-french toast:)
Ingredients:
- 2-4 slices, brown or white bread
- 1 extra-large egg
- 1/4 milk
- salt to taste
- 1 chili, grated
- 1 shallot, minced
- 1/4 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/4 tsp pepper powder
- a cube of butter
- cilantro leaves to garnish
Method:
- Mix all the above said ingredients together, except butter and bread. Bring them to nice foamy condition.
- Now heat up a griddle, smear butter, dip each bread slice into the mixture…and toast them up!
- Serve warm as a break fast!
