Urulai Kizhangu Podimass / Alu Subzi / Mashed Potato Fry



Potato Podimass:

Ingredients:

Potatoes 3-4 boiled, peeled and mashed
Salt
Pepper powder 1-2 spoons
Onion 1 finely chopped
Green chili 1-3 sliced
Garlic 4 cloves minced
Curry leaves few
Chana + Urad dal 1-2 spoons
Cumin seeds 1/2 spoon
Mustard seeds 1/2 spoon
Oil few spoons.

Method:

In a wide wok, heat oil and temper all the spices mentioned. Once they crackle and pop…add the mashed potatoes.

Now, add salt, pepper and stir-fry briefly. Thats it, ready to serve.

Good to go with chappathis and pooris.

    I like this one. I make it , the normal Orissa or bong way…I shall use the southern tempering..I love it..Few days back I tried the southern tempering in baked ( smoked ) brinjal…one tbsp of grated and roasted coconut in it, was bit out of place ha ha ,,but OK.
    I feel good that you are here with your near and dear ones.
