Veg Dim Sums / Dumplings

Homemade Veg-dumplings recipe needs some time and finger skills; but at the end – its totally worth for these steamed delights.

To me, personally it comes under Saathvic food. Whenever, I feel like gravitating towards self-love; this fuss-free, comfort dish…comes handy.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tsp diced carrotLockdown - camera (2nd part)9
  • 2 Tsp sliced green beans
  • 2 Tsp shredded cabbage
  • 1 tsp green peas
  • 2 eggs (to scramble)
  • 1 egg white to coat
  • salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper powder
  • 1 pinch MSG
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 2-4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • few egg roll sheets

Method 

In a wide wok, heat oil and scramble the eggs, set aside. Add vegetables, salt, pepper and MSG. Once, it is done…add green onions to it.

Now, bring the pastry sheet…coat the inner side with egg whites. Add a table spoon of your filling – either vegetables or scrambled egg or both. Fold it in a desired way. Repeat the same for all the remaining sheets.

Steam cook them for 7-10 minutes. A delicious dumplings ready in minutes. Serve pipping hot with soy sauce on the side.
