Hot and Sour Chinese Soup

Also Known As: Hot And Sour Soup, Chinese Restaurant Special – Hot and Sour Soup.

Ingredients:
  • Chili Sauce 1/2 cup
  • Corn Starch 2-4 spoons
  • Soy Sauce 2 spoons
  • Vinegar 2 spoons
  • Tofu
  • Spring Onions 2 spoons(Chopped)
  • Mushrooms
  • Seaweed
  • Egg – whites
  • Black Pepper 1 spoon
  • Sugar 1/2 spoon
  • A pinch ajinomoto
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 cups Water

Method:

  1. Mix 4 cups of water, chili sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper powder and ajinomoto and bring it to boil.
  2. Now add all the other ingredients and bring it to boil. Cook for a minute on a medium heat.
  3. Dissolve corn starch in 1/2 cup water and add to the soup stirring constantly till it becomes thick. Cook for a minute.
  4. Serve steaming hot .
