Lemon Fish – Fried To Perfection

Lemon Fish – Fried To Perfection

I really wish to make the fried fish with only wholesome fish. I mean, that which happens to be alive, until I procured. Something with skin-on and eye balls intact and with too many pin bones. Now, image this kind of fish with lemony marinade…then, shallow friend in rich sesame oil. Yummo, right. :) Well…now for everyday affair…use the same marinade for the frozen fish fillets that you have in your deep freezer. Still, makes your regular meal complete but incomplete but somehow content, right. Then, finish up and go to bed, idiot. :)

Ingredients

  • Fish fillet(no choice here, just the tilapia again)
  • Dry red chilies – toasted n grated (without seeds)
  • Turmeric pinch
  • Salt
  • Lemon – fresh squeezed
  • Lemon rind – grated
  • Oil for pan frying

To garnish

  • Lemon / Lime – sliced
  • Cilantro
  • Chilies

Method

  1. Mix salt, turmeric, chili flakes, lemon juice & lemon rinds(grated) together. Coat this over fish. Let this set-up sit for about 1-2 hours.
  2. Pan fry in about one inch level of oil. Slow frying is key for this fish! Do not turn them often…as the fish could go flaky here. Now remove and leave over kitchen tissues for a while.
  3. Garnish with lemon rinds, wedges and cilantro! Enjoy. :)
