Sheer Kurma / Semiya Payasam – Muslim Style

Also known as: Vermicelli Payasam. Semiya Payasam. Saffron Infused Vermicelli Pudding.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup fine vermicelli
- 1/2 c sugar
- 2 c milk
- 1 c condensed milk
- kewra essence
- saffron strands
- ghee
- sliced almonds
Method
Soak 1/4 spoon of saffron in 2-4 spoons of milk and wet-grind the same. In a hot pan, add sugar and a cup of water. Bring this to thick consistency. Further add milk and condensed milk. Later add ghee fried vermicelli to it and bring this to boil. Add saffron, kewra essence and silvered almonds and remove from heat. Serve chilled as a dessert.
