It is not very new that I dream about ‘sweets’ all the time. My mother thinks that all my 28 teeth (that’s right, 4 wisdom teeth never grew…am evolved, hehe) are literally made of sugar!! Well, I blame it on my constant depression, rare jubilation, occasional victory(over something stupid), mere joblessness, lazy afternoons…crazy sundaes (am sorry Sunday, I mean)!
And it is tough’ especially when I am told to keep off my routine treats! It is like…giving a bald man some ‘hair restoring pills’ and asking him to take it twice a day and while he is taking the pills…he shouldn’t be thinking about the Monkey!!! Weird treatment, right! Like wise, whenever am told that I shouldn’t touch desserts…I get pretty wild. Though I may not be actually wanting it. Its just the ‘orders’/ prescriptions’ makes me go crazy!!
Anyhow, on the other day…I had no choice, someone kept insisting on how to cut sugar’ in order to postpone ‘diabetes’ that runs in the family! There you go, someone really did pull the haywire…the same afternoon, I started preparing this cocoa fudge!!! Honestly, it turned out very delicious…in fact’ it was fun cooking, as though it is taboo food, hehe:)
Ingredients:
Baker’s cocoa bars 3-4
Whole Milk 1 liter
Sugar 3/4 cup
Cardamom powder – optional.
Method:
Heat sugar and milk together. Maintain the heat over medium range and constantly stir it(it took me 3 hours). Let this to reduce into solids.
Now, add the melted cocoa bakers bars to it. Mix well and wait till it consolidates.
Shape them into pedas and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Serve chilled as a dessert.
