Fish Amritsari

Named after a city where it originally prepared.


  • 1 lb fish
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 ginger paste
  • 1/4 garlic paste
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 cumin powder
  • 1/2 carom powder
  • 1 lemon, juice
  • Oil for pan-frying


  1. Mix all the above mentioned ingredients, except fish and oil.
  2. Now baste it over the cut fish fillets. Leave it aside for couple of hours.
  3. Heat up a griddle with 1 inch of oil, and fry the fish till crisp and aromatic.
  4. There you go, you made a wonderful side dish!

    Fish Amirtasari and pictures are very nice. U adored the dish with chippies( U collected in Wilmington beach) is nice.
