The above adage is one of favorite one! In fact, the gustatory memory that I have is much more stronger than those powerful words sometimes.
Ingredients
- 4-6 quails
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2-3 garlic heads, peeled, sliced
- 2 inches ginger, grated
- 1 big bunch of curry leaves
- salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp pepper powder
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 cup oil
Method
In a wide wok, heat oil. Add cumin seeds and curry leaves to it. Then, add onions, ginger and garlic to it. Fry real good. Then followed by, add quail meat to the same. Further, add salt, turmeric, chili, coriander and pepper powder to the same. Cover and cook over medium heat without adding any water. When the meat is tender enough, remove lid and fry over high heat for few minutes. Add oil if necessary. Serve steaming hot to go with your meals. Enjoy.
