When true foodies dine outside, they never fail to order this basic dish! A must in every Desi Restaurants! For some reason…we South Indians crave “Paneer”. So, on the other day…when I spotted this fresh paneer in the Indian store, I bought it purely out of an impulse!
Ingredients
- 250 gms paneer, cubed
- 1 onion, crushed
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2-3 tomatoes, puree
- salt
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 cup almond, paste
- 1 cube butter
Method
- In a wide wok, heat butter…fry the paneer briefly and set aside.
- In the same oil, add onions and ginger-garlic paste and fry till fragrant.
- Add tomato puree, salt, turmeric and chili powders to it.
- When the curry thickens, add almond paste too. Now, add the fried paneer to it and cook till tender.
- Wait till the oil shows up on the top. Garnish with more cream or butter.
