Raagi Uthappam – The Yum Factor

Raagi Uthappam – The Yum Factor

ragi dosa2DSC06661Its very hard to get on my nerves! But, when one does (let God forbid he/she doesn’t). I will make sure to throw them in living hell.  And, put some horrid curse and followed by ‘never to end hex’ on. Right now…I am not in that bad mood, that is why I couldn’t think of something more sinister!

Anyway, the reason behind today’s rant is…my blog happened to reproduce like an amoeba overnight and is appearing as numerous websites. Some of the websites have made me a male (yeah, what my parents couldn’t accomplish)! I wish, at least they have tagged me into their posts and addressed me as ‘intelligent’ (after all I was their source of inspiration to copy and duplicate the stuff, right). :)

Anyway…Let the cooking saga go on. And, let those websites keep coming to me for more and more posts to steal! They just showered me with riches in the form of duplicating my hard work in no time! Well, ‘Many’ is better than ‘one’, right??!!

Ingredients

  • ragi dosa batter
  • 2-3 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 large purple onion, chopped
  • few cilantro leaves
  • sesame oil to smear

Method Mix everything together (except oil, okay) and allow this to stand a little. If the batter is bit sour…do not hesitate to go on, as this whole recipe is invented for one such gone-bad sour batter. :) Well, heat up the griddle, smear oil and make a thick uthappams, Flip over and cook until crisp and aromatic. Remove from heat and serve warm along with some tangy chutneys.
